| THE DANGERS OF XYLITOL |
| XYLITOL is a sweetener found in certain sugar-free chewing gums and candies. Dogs that ingest large amounts of these can develop a sudden drop in blood sugar, which can cause depression, loss of coordination and seizures. Symptoms develop rapidly, usually within 30 minutes of ingestion. This is a medical emergency and the pet should be taken to a veterinarian. Better yet, keep candy out of the pet's reach!
